Incubation Hubs in Every State for the Aspiring Start-Up Entrepreneurs, Now not a Distance Dream


BENGALURU: Latest government initiative of start-up hub, launched to support the Start-up India Scheme has got an overwhelming response from the help seekers with over 400 calls every day. This start-up hub program comes up with start-up portal and mobile app, which in return has been a blessing in disguise for the Government as there is an inundation of ambitious entrepreneurs who are needed to be managed.

This new initiative aims to give a single point contact to the entire start-up ecosystem. In order to control and manage the requirements of aspiring entrepreneurs’ the Government’s Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) program will be expanding its territory with incubation centers in whole country.

Thestart-up portal is capable of availing all the tax benefits with incentives such as tax holiday, an ‘inspector raj’-free regime for three years, exemption in capital gains tax and Rs 10,000 Cr corpus for funding the start-ups.Tax benefits and incentives will also be availed to the start-ups to lessen the regulatory burden on them.This new government subsidized initiative can be implemented fully by mapping incubation zones all over India. To deploy the incubation government is bringing both the private sectors and state government’s capacities together. The Industry Ministry is having a keen eye on the incubation capabilities of all states to extend the start-up movement to tier-II and III cities.

With a motive to promote entrepreneurship and provide pre-incubation training, the initiatives scheduled to build sector-specific incubators along with 500 tinkering labs under the Atal Innovation Mission. Government has taken some similar initiatives named as ‘start-up India’ campaign and ‘Twitter Seva’ to encourage the start-ups in India.
