INK Invites Innovative Startup Ideas For Its Fellows Program 2013

Bangalore: INK, a physical and digital platform for sharing innovative ideas has announced that it is inviting applications for the INK Fellows Program 2013. The initiative aims to identify young path-breakers from diverse fields such as art, science, technology, entrepreneurship, social work, music and architecture and give them a platform to generate a positive change in the community.

As part of this initiative, INK will select a multi-disciplinary group of 20 achievers who have demonstrated their ability in being a change agent in their respective fields and provide them the support necessary to leverage their impact. The Fellows would be given a platform to showcase their innovative ideas and compelling work to a global audience through INK’s flagship annual event INK Conference in association with TED, which is to be held in Kochi between 23rd and 27th October, 2013. INK on its part would also facilitate their access to potential customers and funding opportunities, besides fostering their entrepreneurial development and providing mentorship support.

“Through this program we aim to create an awakening, especially among the youth from emerging economies such as India, by giving them role models to whom they can relate and from whom they can seek inspiration to innovate and be ‘out-of-the-box’ thinkers”, said Lakshmi Pratury – founder, host and curator of INK.

The applications are open to individuals aged between 18 and 40 preferably from but not restricted to emerging economies.  Applications can be either filed by answering an online questionnaire or by uploading a 3 minute video on Youtube. The application period closes on July 14th, 2013 and the chosen Fellows will be announced on August 21st, 2013

INK will also offer customized assistance depending upon the need of each Fellow, along with exposure to Social media and local speaking engagement on at least one INK event during the Fellowship year.
