Hyderabad Based GenY Raises Undisclosed Angel Investment


Bangalore: GenY Medium, a Hyderabad based social media marketing startup that deals with business of managing perceptions of brands has received an undisclosed angel investment from Srinath Devireddy – an entrepreneur in the technology and IT industry.

GenY Medium, which was founded 18 months ago by Yeshwanth Kumar, Ravi Jain and Richa Sethia, uses proprietary analytics and online management tools for reputation, to sharpen brands in their competition. The company offers these services to many clients including Indiatimes Shopping, Githanjali Shop, NIIT, Max Bupa and Cigna TTK.

Angel investor Srinath Devireddy runs Adroitnet Inc., a technology firm providing solutions, focusing on healthcare and with operations in U.S. and India. He is reported to have made angel investments in firms that deal with healthcare IT, big data, and social media previously. According to Devireddy  GenY Medium’s team is a perfect one to do with social media. This form of media will, as he says would overtake traditional media in the near future and the team with the right experience and know-how would be the winner.

According to GenY’s CEO Yeshwanth Kumar, this angel investment is a testimony to the company’s abilities to give an edge to appropriate engagement ideas.
