Glam-Tech Startup Mazkara.Com Enters India Launches in Pune

BANGALORE: Facilitating 50,000 unique monthly users and 500 appointments daily in the beauty and wellness online space, Dubai based glam-tech startup Mazkara.com, has now spread its wings to India and launched in Pune. Mazkara.com enables customers to search and discover salons & spas in their vicinity, find the best offers and deals and book appointment in a jiffy. Its current focus is on being the single platform helping customers decide which salon or spa to avail their beauty treatment based on their needs, budget, location and other factors.

Mazkara.com provides a business-facing cloud-based application to spa and salon owners to help them leverage the benefits of technology in successfully managing and scaling their business.  It provides a dashboard for the management of salons and spas through which they can update their listing, interact with customers, view page-analytics and manage their bookings. The glam-tech platform publishes real-time offers and deals on its platform without any charge or commission to service providers. Through this feature, it has embarked its journey in becoming one of the largest aggregators of offers and deals in the field of beauty and wellness. Currently, the Mazkara.com business model is based on “Venues subscribing to premium listings and marketing tools offered by Mazkara.com.”

Announcing the launch of their services in Pune, Co-founder and CEO, Prasanjeet Roy, said,“Foray into Indian market is a crucial part of the company's business growth strategy. With a strong beauty and wellness industry and thriving digital consumer strength, India promises to be a challenging market for us. We are geared to win over consumers in India through our seamless and elegant interface and wide choices of services. However, we wish to first carve a niche place for ourselves in the city of Pune by offering consumers a compelling experience and then expand our services to other cities in due course.”

Mazkara.com started its sales efforts in Dubai with over 50 venues as paid clients and have already received an overwhelming response. As the market evolves, Mazkara.com plans to introduce other matured market revenue models centered around the transactions between the venues and the customers. Talking about the road ahead, Prasanjeet said, “As of now, Mazkara.com has offices in Dubai and Pune with the total team strength of 25 and growing. Our key focus geographies for 2015 and 2016 are Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and in India it will be looking at marking its presence in Pune, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata.”

The company is all set to roll out its mobile app for Android and iOS platforms. With GPS capabilities, the app will help users discover the right salon or spa close to their current location.
