Educational Startups The Next Game Changers In India

BANGALORE: A handful of educational startups are playing the role of game changers, as they are revolutionizing the educational system with the assistance of technology on their side.

These educational startups have appeared in the right sector at the right time. The infrastructural high-speed internet connectivity, alongside cloud-based software, advanced analytics and new age gadgets like smartphones and tablets that co exist will now uphold newer education formats. As a result, the propelling competitive generation Y will be graced with a more accurate based educational system, reports The Economic Times.

Albeit the complexity from kindergarten-to-class 12, or K-12, segment isn't at its curb, it is not a cake walk for education entrepreneurs. These few startups in their noble efforts to support the youth are finding it hard to resist the potential of India’s massive population of students with over 250 million school students. This population stand mightier than United Kingdom, South Africa and Japan put together..

Latha Selvan, a school teacher testifies to the positive response of her students as they are more attentive in class and do their homework on time otherwise they don't get to play.

Games are reinforcing the classroom learning, by making it more interactive for the young minds. Hence, the outdated version of learning solely through theory  is replaced through practicality.

Students are thereby given the opportunity to experiment with the concept through the art of gaming. These games not only seem resourceful, but also encourage students to try, make mistakes, and correct themselves.

"There is a generational shift taking place in the student community - the way the current generation lives their life, thinks, engages and spends their time - which has not happened over the last three generations," said K Ganesh, one of India's most successful education entrepreneurs “The next 25 years will be the golden era of education," he added.
