Datagres Raises $2 Million from Nexus Venture

Bangalore: Datagres Technologies, a new data management platform has announced that they have received Series A funding from Nexus Venture Partners. The company will use the funded amount of $2 million to expand its operations in the US and Asian markets.

Datagres has also announced the launch of a data management platform which manages and scales data in a heterogenous storage environment. The next generation data platform will be called PerfAccel.

CEO of Datagres, Srinivasan Viswanathan said, “Our vision is to deliver performance manageability for dynamic application data in the simplest manner and at the lowest cost. Nexus Venture was impressed with Datagres’ approach to solve the complexity of data management and their scalability and flexibility. The Co-Founder of the venture firm, Sandeep Singhal will join Datagres’ board soon.

Datagres uses existing centralized storage servers for data at rest and brings on-demand active data closer to the application servers. This approach helps many applications that require dynamic distribution of data with fast local access and global visibility.
