CloudByte Bites $2.1 Million From Nexus Ventures And Kae Capital


Bangalore: Bangalore based CloudByte bags $2.1 million of funding from Nexus Venture Partners and Kae Capital. CloudByte is a storage startup which sells storage products to large companies for their daily chores. This investment on cloud computing space has increased the wrath of its significance in the world of technology and investment.

Nexus and Kae together have invested $2.1 million (Rs 11.97 crore) in this startup as a part of increasing their investment in cloud based ventures. Trying to have a proper hold on cloud these companies have taken this decision after investing in cloud.com and Gluster.  

CloudByte stores information and data in cloud or in web which can easily be accessed through a personal computer or a mobile phone which has attracted the attention of the technological world. Sandeep Singhal, co-founder of Nexus Ventures says” The founders of CloudByte have built a world-class tech product.”

This Bangalore-based startup was founded by a team of senior technology professionals after they quit their well paid jobs at multinational firms - Novell, NetApp, HP, Juniper Networks, Bell Labs and Amazon. With this funding CloudByte plans to fund their own research and development team to improve their products to the next mark and also to expand sales in the US and Asian markets. Balaram the co-founder of CloudByte confirms that there are various pilot projects coming along with various products with other leading cloud service providers, enterprises and storage sellers in a global outlook.
