Chumbak.com Secures Undisclosed Funding from Seedfund


Bangalore: Chumbak.com, a Bangalore based online-offline gifting venture has procured undisclosed amount as funding from Seedfund. The core team of this fund includes Bharati Jacob, Pravin Gandhi and Mahesh Murthy, reports Dealcurry.

Founded in 2009 by Subhra Chadda, Chumbak focuses on targeting the gift market with unique and creative designs for the local crowd. Although Chumbak’s business revolved around designing and creating refrigerator magnets, it has now diversified and has various products in its list. The list includes magnets, USB sticks, Key chains, t-shirts, boxer shorts, iPhone cases, coin pouches and a lot more.

Currently Chumbak has around 16 retail stores in India and it has also ventured into the Japanese market by partnering with Amina’s Cayhane stores.

Seedfund is an early stage VC fund which has its operations in Bombay, Bangalore and New Delhi. This VC firm was founded in 2006 to enhance entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem. Companies like redBus, Carwale, mydentist, Thinklabs form a part of its portfolio.
