Book Offers Tips On Entrepreneurship, Start-Ups

NEW DELHI: Want to be an entrepreneur? A new book spells out the qualities needed to be one besides details about entrepreneurship and start-ups.

In "Breaking Out and Making Big: A No-Nonsense Book on New Age Start-Ups and Entrepreneurship", author Rudrajeet Desai offers simple, real-life, usable suggestions on how to build and manage start-ups.

He offers tips on how to assess the entrepreneur inside someone, make the perfect pitch to an investor, create a business plan, maximise productivity by delegating tasks and build teams to make a 'happy people company'.

The book provides an in-depth analysis on evaluating business models, building a start-up team, becoming the perfect CEO, investments and venture capital, compliance and organisational structure, start-up culture and employee management and everything else one needs to know about planning and implementing a new venture.

It also features smart suggestions and tips taken from the author's own experience.

Desai, co-founder and CEO of Ideacts Innovations, says his book, published by HarperCollins India, is based on what he learnt from all his experience.

"Every line of code written, every paisa earned or spent, every deal signed, every employee hired and every meeting organised has contributed to it. A lot of what I share with my readers are ideas I may not have implemented or acted upon because I did not have the time then, or I lost the opportunity when it came," he says.
