Azim Premji, NRN Murthy Join The E-Commerce Battle


BANGALORE: Ever since where there is a business, we can find rivalries get emerged itself. This time it’s between the top two tech-giants, Wipro’s Azim Premji and Infosys’s N R Narayana Murthy.

In the world of cut throat competition, business is all about hard decision and hard people. Premji has invested in Myntra that is recently acquired by Flipkart and Snapdeal; on the other hand Murthy has taken its chance on global e-tailing giant Amazon. This has ultimately led the e-commerce race to turn up into a battle for top.

Wipro Chairman, Premji along with other investors has invested $50 million in fashion e-tailer Myntra, while Snapdeal bagged $100 million in funding from 5 investors including Premji. The billionaire co-founder of Indian IT firm Infosys, Narayan Murthy has signed an e-commerce joint venture with the world’s largest online retailer Amazon in May 2014.
