Are Indian Startups Reforming After A Structural Crisis?


Our country, though it has vastly improved by leaps and bounds in the past decade, it is still riddled with problems that plague its growth. Poverty, illiteracy, religious conflicts and social inequality, just to name a few are great impediments to the growth of the country as a whole and yet this same country startups like Prakriti, innoz, flipkart, Redbus and many more have sprung up to provide for the ones who are still lacking by connecting them to the whole. “You don't have to aim for foreign markets to be successful. You just have to solve local problems in a way that's globally applicable” Eric Schmidt.

The startup scene of India has taken off but only barely so with a handful of companies turning eyes of investors, others have simply died or dried up. In the spirit of what Eric Schmidt and James Gruber have said, if we use technology to solve problems that exist in our country then startups will continue to grow and the country will only move forward from here on.
