ASG Eye Hospitals Procures 50 Crores from Sequoia Capital


Bangalore: ASG Eye Hospitals, a hospital chain that operates out of Rajasthan has procured investment worth 50 Crore from Sequoia Capital. The transaction had just Smart Economics Consultancy Pvt. Ltd as a sole advisor, reports economictimes.

Dr Arun Singhvi and Dr Shashank Gang promoted this organization in 2006 and it provides a wide range of eye-care treatment facilities from the basic eye care or testing to major surgeries all being done under one single roof.

ASG Eye Hospitals has its operations spread over nine centres across Rajasthan. With this gorgeous amount received in funding, ASG plans to utilize the same to set up more centres in the Northern part of the country including few central regions. It plans to have over 30 operating centres by the end of 2014.

Sequoia Capital has been quite active in terms of investment and manages funds capitalized at close to US $1.4 billion and invests across venture, growth and late stage opportunities.
