8 Startups That Are Doing Their Bit for a Cleaner India


BANGALORE: For a developing country like India, increasing population is one of the biggest challenges. The increased number of population results in more pollution, thus keeping up to the need of ‘Swachh Bharath’ looks merely impossible. As the country is going through a revolutionary phase of startups; the young entrepreneurs are not only thinking about the technological growth but also in to developing an eco friendly atmosphere to live in.

Karma Recycling

Akshat Ghiya and Aamir Jariwala turned their friendship of Northwestern University in the U.S. in to a business venture when they started ewaste recycling business in 2012. But later on they realized the use of refurbishing of the electronic devices like mobile phones, tablets and laptops which are locked up in every house in the country.

Thus Karma Recycling aims to conserve the planet’s resources by focusing its efforts on systematic electronics reuse and responsible recycling by making it as easy as possible for the common man to resell and/or recycle their used electronic devices scientifically.

Chennai Startup Develops Power-Saver Device for Solar Units
