5 Entrepreneurs Who Are Working Hard To Urbanize Rural India

Bangalore: Even though India is becoming urbanized day by day, three-fourth of the population still live in villages. Though the pace of development of the country is real quick the situation of rural India is really pathetic. Improper transport system, poor health care facility, unawareness of the modern farming techniques and unavailability of affordable and clean energy sources stand as stumbling blocks in the path of rural progress. A few entrepreneurs dared to quit their corporate jobs with a vision of urbanizing rural India. Here is a list of some of them who wants to see India in its total progress.

#5 Evomo

Founder: Abhinav Kumar

Evomo was founded with the intention of offering affordable and safe local transportation in rural India. The company was established in 2010 by Abhinav Kumar after realizing the need for vehicles that can be used for transportation of both people and goods. This 27 year old automobile Engineer at Sona Koyo Steering Systems dared to quit his job to accomplish his mission. Locally sourced materials and designs beyond the patent protection makes Evomo's rural utility vehicle cheap than any other transport vehicles. This project is currently funded by National Institute of Design under the National Design Business Incubator.
