19 Year Old Indian Boy Raises $1.1 Million for His Startup


Bangalore: Meet Sahil Lavingia, the 19 year old Indian boy, who has convinced giants from big time venture capital firms to invest about $1.1 Million in his startup, Gumroad. After dropping out from the Computer Science class of the University of Southern California, Sahil joined his classmates and founded Pinterest, which he later left to lead his own internet company.

Gumroad, is a website where you can upload, share and sell your articles and web products. The company, started a year back in 2011, has attracted investors like Accel Partners, Max Levchin of PayPal and social music service Turntable's founder Seth Goldstein to raise the million dollar fund.
