10,000 Startups Program: Aid to Enhance Startup Ecosystem

BANGALORE: Startups have been the talk of the season, with numerous companies in various domains rising to take a platform with other multinational companies. The technology industry has seen the highest number of startups that are fixed to making services or designs that support larger companies. The sad part about the startup situation in India is that many small companies are closing due to lack of financial assistance. This has always been a burden for entrepreneurs who are not stable financially.

In a recent turn of events NASSCOM has come out with a new initiative to raise over 10,000 startups in the country. Though this is not even close or enough to the number of startups that are financed in America, this is the start for them. This will be a new path from the previously chalked out initiatives to give funding for startups.

NASSCOM’s initial initiative of their year old program to support startups finically has paved the way for corporate houses, government agencies and white collar executives to show interest and help build an environment that will encourage more startups. NASSCOM saw a total of 7,000 initial sign ups from their first two phases of the program launch. They are hoping to raise 10,000 startups that will have good financial backup.
