The Himalayan range covering places like Kashmir, Leh-Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh have few of the most beautiful destinations on this planet. Destination like Dal Lake, Pangong Lake, Manali, Lake Tsomgo, McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala and Gulmarg are few of the many scenic locations on the Himalayan range.

The Southern side of India features few locations like Ooty, Kodaikana, Munnar, Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, backwaters in Alleppey, and Hampi, which attracts a lot of Indian tourists every year during winters and monsoon. All these locations have specially attracted people who love to click snaps of panoramic frames across forests, lakes and mountains.

Beaches for Peace and Party

With longitude of coasts on both sides of the borders, India has more beaches than the USA has states. Goa which is the party capital of India attracts Indians from all directions of the country. With the arising hippie culture, the place has become a plaza for tourists who wish to get elated and groove to trance music.

Other than Goa, beaches in Gokarna, Karnataka and Pondicherry provide a more relaxing environment attracting people who crave to get unstrained. Yoga enthusiasts also like these places to snuff out their hunger for spirituality through meditation or other means.

There are various other beaches which are less commercial, thus tend to attract very few Indians, but still exist as a good picnic destination.
