Volvo's Premium S90 to Hit Indian Market by Year End


BENGALURU: Volvo is all set to keep the excitement up for its lovers. It is very exciting to know that the company has brought a unit of S90 for authorization purpose in India. But you will need to keep the excitement in control as the Swedish manufacturer will launch S90 at the end of 2016 as they promised; source, Ayush Arya, Oncars.in.

The S90 version of premium car by Volvo is said to compete with other leading premium cars such as BMW 5-series, Audi A6 and the Mercedes E-Class. Its new design features the company’s commitment to provide the best of Volvo. S90 is also based on Volvo’s ‘Scalable Product Architecture’ same as XC90 cars of the company. The new look and equipments used in S90 are inspired by XC90 series of cars. Some people may even relate headlights with Thor’s hammer as it somewhat resembles it. The headline is flat and features with daytime running LEDs. The wheelbase of the car measures around 2,941mm and it gives the classy elongated look to the car. You can even enjoy smooth and lavish rides with the luxurious interiors that add up to your comfort level. The interior also contains 9 inch wide touch screen regulated system for your entertainment.

Such lavish car of course needs to have strong powered engines suitable to its standards. Surprisingly, the car will be powered with two states of engine where one of them will an 187Bhp and 400Nm powerhouse engine and another one will produce 231Bhp and 490Nm of torque. The S90 will be launched with 2.0 litre diesel engine and cost of the car will range between 55 lakhs to 60 lakhs as it will be imported as ‘Completely Built Unit (CBU)’ to India.
