Upcoming Cars to Hit the Indian roads Between 5-10 lakh

BANGALORE: This year the battle between carmakers just got fiercer as every automobile company is trying to lure the customers with the best cars. The standard in car manufacturing is only getting better through the incorporation of better technology. In the market, car manufacturers can no longer slack off with comfort, technology, and build in cars because if they do, then they are sure to repel their customers.

Carmakers understand it is more of an art to win the hearts of their customers than just providing automobiles for transport. So, what are the kinds of cars to expect and what price range will they come in? Here is a list of them with input from NDTV.

Chevrolet Compact SUV: This is a new range of SUV’s from Chevy. The automobile company is launching this sports vehicle at a price of 6-9 lakhs. This compact SUV is expected to run on the new 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder Ecotec engine, which was specifically made for this car. There are speculations that it could also carry the other engines that are powering GM cars in India like the 1.3-litre diesel and the 1.4-litre petrol. The idea and concept of the car was designed here in Bangalore, and GM hopes to gain the Indian automobile market with this car.

Chevrolet Beat Sedan: Everybody loves the Chevy Beat, a small compact-fuel efficient car, which adorns the Indian roads and also was seen in the Transformer movies. General Motors are taking this concept car to a whole new level and are finally making it available to the customers.

The Beat Sedan,will come with 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel engine. The car is expected to be priced at 4.5 to 6.5 lakhs and will also sport a 5 speed manual gear box.
