TVS-BMW Concept Stunt G 310 Motorcycle Unveiled

BENGALURU: BMW Motorrad is gearing up to enter the new motorcycle segment in the sub 500cc category as it unveiled the Concept Stunt G 310 motorcycle at the 2015 Salao Duas Roda motorcycle show in Sao Paulo, reports International Business Times.

Codenamed TVS-BMW K03, the Concept G 310 is the first offering from the BMW-TVS partnership that was announced in 2013. The production version of the Stunt G 310 will be manufactured and sold in India by BMW Motorrad's Indian partner TVS.

The BMW Concept Stunt G 310 has everything to be a street stunt bike, as it has got the newly developed 1.0-cylinder engine that allows compact proportions. The cylinder is placed towards the rear, also rotated by 180 degrees, which permits optimum placement of the engine allowing better handling.

The modification the bike has is lockable throttle that ensures constant acceleration even when the rider’s hand has to let go of the throttle grip. The altered gear ratio secures instant power to the rear wheels at low engine speeds and the over-sized rear wheel brake ensures reliable deceleration in every situation.

An additional rear wheel brake that can be controlled by using rider's middle finger has been added, in case rider's right foot is not on the footrest while performing certain stunts. The additional brake lever is specially placed on the left side of the handlebars and can even be operated at the same time as the clutch.

The motorcycle also gets a non-slip seat, which ensures a stable seating position when riding. The final production spec version is expected to debut at the EICMA Motor Show in Milan, November 2015.
