Suzuki to Showcase Next-Gen Swift at Tokyo Motor Show in October

BENGALURU: Suzuki is expected to reveal the next-generation Swift in the form of a concept at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show in October, reports NDTV AUTO.

According to a Japanese magazine, Suzuki will showcase the next-gen Swift, which will have changes in its edgy aero parts. The concept car will be powered by the new 1.4 L, 4 cylinder turbo petrol engine with Booster Jet Turbo technology, which was shown previously in Shangai Motor Show earlier this year.

The Hybrid power plant will feature the company’s S-Energy system, where it gets large capacity lithium-ion batteries to boost its power.

Having sold 1.3 million units of the Swift in the last decade, the journey for the hatchback has been a long one and things are only getting better with the new one. This raises the expectations in the Indian market that is eagerly waiting to know more about the new car that Suzuki is planning to unveil.
