Straight from Italy: 10 of the Rarest and Most Valuable 'Ferraris' Ever


BANGALORE: Vintage cars have been pretty expensive items when they were first created and the “Ferraris” are not new to this. They are one of the biggest car manufacturers in the luxury and professional racing car world, and have always seemed to keep a step ahead of their competitors. With that being said, it does not come as a shock that all of Ferrari’s cars are legendary but on this list, there are ten most rare, expensive and vintage Ferraris that you wouldn’t want to give it a miss, as reported by Jay Adrianna of TheRichest.

1975 Ferrari 308 GTB

The Ferrari 308 was a termed as “classic” car since its inception and no wonder it’s remained so till date. In 1975 Ferrari unveiled the 308 GTB at the Paris Auto Show, which was supposed to be a long awaited replacement for the Dino 246 GT. It was designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti until 1985 when it was replaced by 328.

One of unique feature on this machine was that, the first 712 cars, was made in glassfibre—a first for Ferrari. However, that didn't last long, as it was cheaper and quicker to build the 308 from steel.

Powered by a 3.0 liter transversely mid-mounted aluminum V8 engine the mean machine generated 255bhp for European market models and 240bhp for the U.S. market. The car was later  fitted with power sapping emission control equipment.
