Royal Enfield Plans To Expand; To Launch 250cc, 410cc & 750cc Models


BENGALURU: The feeling like sitting or even riding a bullet is beyond words. Since 1901 this beast has followed the same DNA. Presently, the 114 year-old company is all set to fire all you biker enthusiasts with its plans of expanding the fleet by newer models, reports ‘Ride Till I Die’.

From Café racers to Cruisers, this engineering marvel is rumored to reload itself to launch the 410cc Himalayan which has a single cylinder engine and bolster a Scrambler style RE, which aims at capturing the mid size segments in foreign countries also.

Furthermore it is also rumored that RE is eyeing to introduce new models in 250cc and 750cc category, which is off-late the go to segment for bike manufacturers in India. Following this, the company has invested 500 crores on the R&D department, which will further be used to research on ways to develop the product and increase its production. This money will go to their two new development centres in Chennai and Leicestershire, UK.

However, it is not clear as to what specs these new RE engines will hold, but will be launched by 2016.
