Reasons Why Honda Jazz Is "Must Buy"

BANGALORE: Honda’s new Jazz is all set to make a comeback to the Indian market and 8th of July 2015 is the date you need to remember. Two years after it was discontinued, the 2015 Jazz will be an all-new car, with a new engine and transmission options, a new design and a host of new features. Since it’s pitted against the likes of Hyundai i20 Elite, VW Polo, Maruti Suzuki Swift in its class, here we put some light on some top reasons why the Honda Jazz is a “MUST BUY”

Fuel Efficiency, kitna deti hai?

Since Indians are more obsessed with mileage of the car rather than performance and safety, the new Jazz will just win over hearts on this count. With an ARAI claimed mileage of 27.3 Km/l the Jazz will be India's second most fuel efficient diesel passenger vehicle after Maruti’s Celerio, offering a little more than 0.32 km/l.

Smooth Operator on City Roads

For years Honda cars have been known for their smooth petrol engines and the New Jazz is no different. The petrol variant of the upcoming Jazz gets an i-VTEC motor that has a decent power output of 87 Bhp to zip through city roads. Also, the introduction of CVT gearbox makes it even more precise as this gearbox is known to be the smoothest operators. If you want to further push the car with higher ratios then the new Jazz provides a 7 stepped ratios which can be operated through the paddle shifters placed behind the steering wheel.

Big On Space

The new Jazz is a clear winner in terms of space as compared to its rivals. With the new Jazz getting 55 mm longer in overall length and 30 mm longer in wheelbase over its outgoing model, that makes it the only car to provide the maximum space on a hatchback. The Jazz also has the highest boot space of 354 liters in this segment and this means it is also a very comfortable car for travelling longer distances.

Magic Seats

Do you want to sleep just like how you do at your home? Well this is possible on the Magic seats introduced on the new Jazz. The magic seats are so versatile that it offers four different configurations. And one such process uses the front and rear passenger seats to form a recliner, where it feels like you’re on a business class seat of a luxury airline. With this introduction the Jazz will be the only car in the hatchback segment to offer this feature and this could just be a value proposition while buying.

Prices

The Jazz had initially failed in the Indian market not for its looks or performance but for its high pricing, but this time it feels like Honda has just got it right. The New Jazz is expected to range from 5 lakh - 8 lakh and compete directly against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i20 and Volkswagen Polo in its class.
