KOLKATA: Setting up its base in the eastern shores, a global apparel major today rolled out ramp for the leading models showcasing fusion garments tailored for the Bengali woman.
International model Lisa Sharma, having sashayed the ramp in south asian parts, gushed "There is something truly Kolkatan in the whole range of apparels and accessories here without diluting the western cuts."
Lisa, who loves pastel color , said Kolkata now boasts off international designs tailored to Indian sensibilities o0f young professionals - the woman of today.
"I also love beige peeches and Kolkata will teach the western fashion designers how to make understated elegance even in jackets and make them the cheapest from other stores in the world. Pocket friendly but stylized go well with Kolkata's fashion status," she said.
Another prominent city model Jessica choreographed the show.
"Aftewr Delhi, Noida and Gujarat Kolkata us on our orirotiy list. We plan to roll out 20 stores in next 18 months. This is a fashion show with a difference to mark our presence in the east.
In Kolkata, to accentuate the physique of Bengali women, we are working on redesigning patterns," a Forever New spokesman said.
