Kawasaki Ninja H2 launched In India: Things To Know


BANGALORE: Kawasaki Motors istaking small steps into the Indian market by launching its recently revealed super bike, the Ninja H2.  It was first showcased in the fourth quarter of 2014 at the Intermot and EICMA and this 998 cc beast is priced at 29 Lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi, reports ET.

The new Ninja is powered by a liquid-cooled 998 cc inline four-cylinder supercharged engine which can produce 200 PS at 11,000 rpm and 133.5 Nm of torque. This power-filled engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission.

 The H2 has Trellis architecture in its chassis, high-tensile steel frame and a Swingarm Mounting Plate which makes up the motorcycle. The bike measures 2,085mm in length, width – 770mm, height – 1,455mm and wheelbase – 1,455mm. The Ninja H2 weighs 238kg and has a ground clearance of 130 mm. The fuel tank in this beast has a capacity of holding 17-liters.

Coming to the wheel size, the front tyre used is a 120/70 section one while the rear is 200/55 with 17-inch rims.. On the braking side, the front wheel is stopped by a dual semi-floating 330 mm discs whereas the rear wheel is put to halt by a single 250 mm disc.

The superbike is exported from Japan as a Completely Built-up Unit to India and will be available in five locations across the country: Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata. However, In this year, Kawasaki Motors have planned to set up more showrooms in India.
