What made Sathya Sai Baba so popular?

Undoubtedly, Sathya Sai Baba was one powerful figure in the list of spiritual gurus in India. From ordinary believers to prominent figures, the clouds of influence are widely spread. But what made him so popular than the rest of the spiritual gurus across India?

The term ‘miracle’ is one that attracted people to Puttaparthi. Baba had some divine power which critics termed it as simple illusion, when Baba pulled out vibuthi (holy ash), gold chains from thin air, read minds, heal the sick or a shiva linga from his mouth. The magic guru got many appreciation for showing such miracles to his devotees, which they addressed as miracle by God and no magic, reports Rediff.

Sathya Sai Baba was referred as God of mankind as well as a great human being. Top notch politicians, flimstars, sportsperson and industrialist among others are the humble devotees of Baba.

Hi Narmada,

That was Critics Feelings, Unfavourable opinion of something, That was absolutely wrong, I am one among the deepest devotee of BABA... The word "Magic" is not accepted, You can say it as Miracle, he has given so many lifes to so many people(Devotees & Non-Devotees). In my Childhood when i went for Baba's Darshan at that time i was suffering from Jaundice severely...In those days Baba use to come to the devotees and gives darshan... My Mom Sat in the fron row,When Baba reaches to my Mom, He gave Vibhuthi from his hand... And after the darshan.. After the Darshan I have taken that vibhuthi, The next day i was healthy and active, playing with my brother, All i can say it was a miracle... My jaundice got cured, This was not any magic, and there were alot of things happened to so many...People treat him as a god because of his service... Love all Serve All this is what i learned from his nature and doing the same...This is how i beleive and treat him as a god...
