The question was simple- when is Toyota going to launch a premium hatchback for Indian roads? And the company answered with their first low priced hatchback, Toyota Etios Liva. With the launch of Liva, Toyota has declared an open fight against other strong competitors such as Tata, Chevrolet and Maruti.

Engine and Mileage:

The hatchback comes in both petrol and diesel engines. A 3NR-FE, Gasoline, 4-Cylinder 16V, DOHC petrol engine acts as the power house of Etios Liva petrol hatchback. It claims superb fuel efficiency of 18.31kmpl.

The diesel motor which is a 1.4L engine outputs 68PS and is a four-cylinder engine. Etios Liva Diesel engine is capable of producing a maximum torque of 170 Nm @ 1800 - 2400 rpm. The Etios Liva Diesel has a mileage of 23.59 kmpl.

Price:

The Etios Liva is petrol variant is tagged at Rs 4.09 lakh and the top end diesel variant is priced around Rs 6.32 lakh.
