#10 Taxis:

India is also called a taxicab country. Most of the traditional taxicabs of India are either Premier Padmini or Hindustan Ambassador cars. In recent years, cars such as Maruti Esteem, Maruti Omni, Mahindra Logan, Tata Indica and Tata Indigo have gained popularity. But in the case of Indian stolen cars, taxis are ranked at number 10. Reports say that compared to the year 2010, cab theft has declined by 10 percent. In 2010, the numbers were 68, but when it came to the year 2011, the number were reduced to 61.

#9 Maruti 800:

At number 9, we have India’s pride, the iconic- Maruti 800. This Indian city car is a rebranded version of Suzuki’s Fronte. Since its launch in 1983, Maruti 800 has been the one of the most desired among Indian citizens as well as Indian crooks. According to the Mumbai police, the stolen rate of this hatchback has been on a rise (57 in 2010 and 62 in 2011).
