Hyundai Creta SUV Launched; Prices Starting From 8.59 Lakh


NEW DELHI: Hyundai Motor India launched its newest SUV Creta in India, a statement said.

"We are delighted to launch the perfectly engineered and powerful SUV (Creta) for the new generation customers. We are confident Creta will strengthen Hyundai's position in India and will lead a new trend in the SUV segment," said HMIL MD and CEO B.S. Seo in the statement.

The new SUV is available in six variants with engine capacities between 1,396 to 1,591 cc and prices ranging from 8,59,558 to 13,60,156 ex-showroom Delhi, the statement said.

The new SUV was designed incorporating HMIL's "Fluidic sculpture 2.0 design philosophy", and comes with three years unlimited kilometers warranty, it added.

Stand-out features of Creata include 7 inch audio video navigation system, 5 inch touchscreen audio system, smart key with push button start, LED positioning lamps and others.

Six airbags, antilocking brake system (ABS), reverse parking camera, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicles stability management (VSM), hill start assist control (HAC), front fog lamps, cornering lamps and projector headlamps encompass the safety features.

Creta is available in both diesel and petrol variants equipped with a choice of 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission, the statement added.

HMIL manufactures and sells 10 car models across segments in India which include Eon, i10, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Elantra and Santa Fe.

Its Indian operations form a crucial part of the company's global export strategy. HMIL cars are exported to as many as 85 countries in Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific.

HIML has 425 dealers and 1,100 service location across India and a multi-million dollar R&D facility in Hyderabad.
