Highest Selling Cars of September 2012


Followed by the Tata’s and Toyota’s, is foreigners Ford and Chevrolet. Ford did well in their mark with Figo as their prime seller (6279 sales). Comparing the two Fiestas, the sales have dropped on the new one (128 sales) as the classic model still bagged over 1K, that too four months in a row.

Chevrolet did well with their low-priced automobile, Beat grossing over 4.5 K in terms of sales. The Tavera on the other hand, shown the world that it still has some RPM left in it, as the SUV sold over 2K units.

The Renault, with its newest SUV Duster, has dusted major players like Volkswagen, Honda, Nissan and Skoda. With over 4000 sales, the Duster has shown its full potential and in a next couple of months, and according to certain reports this SUV is all set to do wonders in terms of sales.

Japanese car makers, Honda sounded good with their model Honda City (over 2500 sales), but failed in selling Brio, Jazz, Civic and Accord. Similarly luxurious car manufacturers, Skoda successfully strategized their diesel propelled Rapid (1433 sales), but was unsuccessful in promoting models like Superb, Laura and Fabia.

Fiat’s Linea marked another new low score with a mere 59 units shipped.

As always, it appears the vintage Ambassador is still the one who is paying bills for Hindustan Motors as they vended around 193 units.
