BENGALURU: The Tata Nano gets itself a new body shell which is all set to take on its rivals Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Hyundai Eon. It is a smart city car which comes with a record of 21 different color options and more interestingly automatic transmission and Bluetooth connectivity, reports ET

People were under the perception that the Nano would be priced at 1 Lakh, but the fact that the pricing will play a role in the sales of the Nano went out to be wrong.

Here are 7 things to know about the all new Nano GenX

Conducted several tests

Since the previous versions didn’t do exceptionally well, Tata Motors went through several tests on how they could improve the performance as well as to drive sales in Indian market.  With this process, a survey was conducted on 1000 Nano users and 1500 of other brands that have helped in the engineering-build of the car.

Stronger body shell

The car is built around a strong body shell which includes features like power steering, small boot space, Bluetooth connectivity and automatic transmission. Previously, having failed to keep up with its looks, Tata motors have introduced a new name to the car called the GenX. In order to keep up with the looks in its segment and compete the Alto 800 and Eon, a slight change in its body design was made.
