BENGALURU: With the festive season starting right now, Ford is all set to launch the Figo hatchback this month on the 23rd. Completely different from the older model, this new hatch back from the company is all new and shares its platform and components with the compact sedan- Figo Aspire, reports Indian Express.
On the Specifications front, the new figo is powered by a 1.2 litre, four cylinder petrol motor which churns out about 88 PS of power with 112Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel version is fitted with a 1.5 litre, four cylinder TDCI engine putting out about 100PS of power and 215Nm of torque.
Mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox on both the engine variants, the Figo hatch back is most likely to be equipped with a 6-speed power shift dual clutch automatic gearbox seen on the Aspire.
The Features on the car is pretty impressive bringing the same list as the Aspire. The top end variants will get ABS and EBD and may also come with 6 airbags on board. As far as the interiors go, the hatch back will be black themed with silver and black trims.
However, the recent launches from Ford have been well received in the market and have given major competition to the other players. The Figo hatch back competes with some of big time hit sellers like Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 in the segment.
