BENGALURU: Fashion is said to repeat every 20 years replacing and experimenting with the old and the new alike. Here we have a list of top 10 Indian fashion designers who has made name for themselves in the fashion industry:

Masaba Gupta

Daughter of West Indian cricketer Viv Richards and Indian actress Neena Gupta, Masaba decided to become a tennis player when she was 8 but later she dropped the idea at 16. Then she tried dance and music but didn’t complete it either and came back to India. At the age of 19 she made her debut in Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai with the support of Wendell Rodricks which changed her destiny. Unconventional prints along with womanish drapes and silhouettes designs are her signature. She also featured BipashaBasu and Shilpa Shetty in her show. Gupta has won honors like the 2012 L'Oreal Paris Femina Award for Best Emerging Designer and PETA India's Most Talented Designer of 2013.

Bibhu Mohapatra

Bibhu is another deseigner with Indian roots who has made a reputation in fashion industry. He has worked for many branded magazines like Styke.com, DNA, New York Magazine, Time, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Marie Claire, Gotham Magazine, Vogue, and Vogue Russia. After J. Mendel’s 2008 spring collection he presented many ready to wear, couture and fur luxury women’s items under his name in New York, Mumbai, Frankfurt, Beijing, and New Delhi. He debuted with costume designs in 2012 summer season. His collections are sold by Bergdorf Goodman worldwide.
