BENGALURU: Formed on 1st November 1956, Karnataka is a state in the south west of India where the IT hub - Bangaluru is located. 1. Aihole

Located along the banks of Malaprabha River, Aihole- the legendary town was once the capital of the Chalukya Dynasty, and is a city with a rich and illustrious history. The city has a great significance with Hinduism as the place is filled with more than 125 temples around. As per mythology, sage Parashuram washed his axe here in Aihole after killing the Kshatriyas. With several temples dating back to Chalukyan times, Aihole is an archaeologists’ delight.
