Datsun To Announce The Price Of Redi-GO On June 7th

BENGALURU: Datsun made a whole of buzz after the organization launched its entry-level passenger car offering, redi-GO globally in April this year. Now the Nissan-owned automobile brand has announced that the prices of the much-awaited redi-GO will be declared on June 7 as reported by The Times of India.

According to the Japan-based organization, the starting price range of this entry-level passenger car will be kept around 2.5 lakh INR, and the top model will be priced upto 3.5 lakh INR. The platform on which redi-GO has been built on is called CMF and underpins Renault Kwid. A tall boy design has been followed by the Datsun for this model which will provide passengers with more headroom space. The signature hexagonal grille has been maintained for this model with a sloping bonnet. The production model of this vehicle has not seen much change from the concept version. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) has been also featured in the vehicle but will only be available for the top end model.

The automobile also has an 800cc three-pot mill and a 5-speed manual transmission. According to Datsun though, the later models of the redi-GO could come with an AMT variant option. Datsun also claims that the vehicle will return a mileage of over 25kmpl, which is quite astonishing given that the vehicle features a fuel tank capacity of 35 liters.

redi-GO will be available in five color variants in India and will be competing against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto, Hyundai Eon, and its cousin - the Renault Kwid. Pre-booking of the Datsun vehicle has already started and the car has reached various dealerships already. It will be interesting to see that how does this vehicle perform in the Indian market.
