NEW DELHI: Chevrolet India announced that it has partnered with Amazon India for booking the Chevrolet Trailblazer, the first of its kind initiative for premium vehicles in India. Apart from letting customers book the Trailblazer at their showrooms, bookings for the premium SUV will begin on October 21, 2015 at Amazon India.
Mr Arvind Saxena, President and Managing Director, General Motors India, said, "The Chevrolet Trailblazer is a powerful car and it needs a powerful introduction. That's why we are partnering with Amazon India, to change the way consumers can purchase a car. This is a first of its kind promotion for premium vehicles in the booming Indian e-commerce space and will enable us to create an entirely new and unique experience for Chevrolet Trailblazer customers."
The new Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV comes with a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, diesel engine that produces a peak power of 200PS and a peak torque of 500Nm, and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The new Chevrolet Trailblazer has 18-inch alloy wheels and is 4,878mm in length and 1,902mm in width. The new Trailblazer will come with a wheelbase of 2,845mm and with a fuel capacity of 76 litres. The new Chevrolet Trailblazer has a ground clearance of 253mm.
The seven-seater Chevrolet Trailblazer has features like- a 7-inch MyLink Touchscreen Infotainment System, USB port, AUX and smart-phone connectivity. The Trailblazer also comes with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), Hill Start Assist, Panic Brake Assist, Cornering Brake Control, Traction Control, Hill Descent Control and Dual Airbags.
The new Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV will be available in seven colour options- Blue Mountain, Summit White, Auburn Brown, Black Sapphire, Royal Grey, Sizzle Red and Switchblade Silver.
The new Chevrolet Trailbrazer will rival against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Ford Endeavour.
The new Chevrolet Trailbrazer will cost around Rs 18-20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Customers can book their car at a nominal booking amount on Amazon with an option of 100 per cent booking amount refund in case they change their mind. The Chevrolet Trailblazer's online bookings received on Amazon.in will be fulfilled by the nearest dealership.
