Bangalore: Volkswagen has launched its new Polo GT which is powered by a 1.2 litre engine which is like heavenly news for many enthusiasts. This second edition of Volkswagen is making its hatchback more thrilling and faster than ever before.The turbocharged engine is clubbed to a 7-speed dual-clutch auto DSG gearbox. This is the first time in India where we see a 7-speed auto box in any hatchback.

The new edition is motorized by a turbo-charged direct booster TSI petrol engine that develops a mighty 105PS and 174 Nm of torque, offering improved performance than the terminated 1.6 litre Polo.

The Polo 1.2TSI is priced close to 7 lakhs and it will try to win over the skoda Fabia 1.6 petrol, Tata Indica Vista D90 and the Hyundai i20.

The car has been designed keeping in mind the vital role of fuel efficiency, especially in the Indian markets. "Under these circumstances, we strongly feel the need to provide our patrons with a choice to opt for an efficient petrol car. What is more, VW Polo GT TSI is the perfect answer with maximum power and minimum consumption',said Aravind Saxena, Managing Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Vw Group Sales India Private Limited, reports carssulekha.com.
