Car of the Week: New Ford Figo


Performance:

As Ford has tweaked the engine calibration, the new car, especially diesel engine feels peppier to drive. The petrol engine, with its 71 PS is quite an average performer with a 0 – 100kmph acceleration in about 14.8 seconds and top speed of 148kmph. The diesel engine, though not much powerful, feels better than the petrol engine with superb drivability.

Fuel Economy

Mileage is the one area where the new Figo scores high. The petrol version of the car gives about 12.3kmpl in the city and about 15.6kmpl on highways. The diesel will give you 17 kmpl and 20 kmpl respectively.

Interior

Figo is known for its spacious interiors and the new update enhances the comfort level a little more. It comes with a unique style upholstery with new fabrics and new colors, which makes things way “fresh” that the old one. The dashboard layout has been unaltered, but the company has added steering mounted audio controls, which is a blessing on the drive. The lumbar support for seats is improved and the proper arrangement gives the driver a clear view of the road. The entire interior has a plush and luxury feeling to it with upholstered door panels and other offerings. With additional damping, the car now has a more silent cabin.
