Car Of The Week: Mahindra Verito Vibe

Bangalore: Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, a part of the US $16.2 billion Mahindra Group, has entered the fiercely contested hatchback segment with a compact version of its sedan Verito -Vibe.

The sub-four metre sedan built on the home-grown car maker's Renault platform is pitched against brands such as Maruti's DZire, Swift, Honda's Amaze and Toyota's Liva.

Surprisingly, the company has only diesel models to offer as of now, but the possibility of petrol as well as electric versions are not distant, hinted M&M President (Automotive Division) Pawan Goenka.

Design:

The primary looks of the car disappoints a design enthusiast. The chopped-down sedan has the 90’s boxy feeling to it. However, with some smart touches like the carbon fiber grille, smoked head lights, LED tail lamps and the roof rail, Vibe keeps it appeal.

The front portion is very much similar to Verito sedan except for the new grill. When it comes to the rear, the body gets a steep cut from the C-pillar, which has a full length Tail light assembly running from the roof rail till bottom.
