Bajaj Pulsar VS400 to Be Launched Soon

BENGALURU: The most awaited edition of Bajaj—Pulsar CS400—to be named as Pulsar VS400. The launch of this new bike was expected to gear up in the month of August, but the official launch was reportedly postponed to next month. This was recently ascertained during the bike’s TVC shoot in Ladakh.

According to the recent issue of the motorcycle’s brochure, the name of the bike is confirmed to be VS400. It will be powered by a 373-cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled motor, which is the version adopted from KTM 390 Duke. An ARAI report also confirms the power output of the mighty motorbike. The engine of Pulsar VS400 will be capable of producing a maximum power of 34.5PS and it is comparatively little less than that of KTM that produce 44.5PS. Though the engine power seems to be at the lower side, it is designed to offer a better low-end torque for smooth riding.

With respect to the design, the production part of the Pulsar VS400 is very similar to the concept reveled by Bajaj during the 2014 Auto Expo. For the first time Bajaj has introduced LED taillight assembly with side indicators and full LED headlight as well. The bike is also the first of its kind product provided with highest-ever features by Bajaj Motorcycle till date.

Bajaj Pulsar VS400 comes with a Ducati Diavel inspired tank with a digital display of speedometer and gear indicator on top of it. Other details about trip, fuel can be monitored with the use of trip meter, fuel gauge and tachometer found between the handlebars. Instead of upside down forks as seen on the concept the bike employs regular telescopic forks at the front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear. VS400 braking system is controlled by disc brakes at both ends and also equipped with dual-channel auto braking system.

The bike is much lesser in price when compared to the other power cruisers such as Royal Enfield range of bikes and Mahindra Mojo. The price of the bike is expected to arrive between 1.5 and 1.7 Lakh INR in ex-showroom.

Now, the company wants to spend enough time for the marketing the product with their new TVC in progress. Bike lovers can expect the TVC on air in the next few weeks once every goes right.
