Audi To Launch The Q7 in November This Year?


BENGALURU: Here’s some super exciting news for all the premium SUV lovers out there, Audi might launch the Audi Q7 sometime this year. According to a report, the SUV may be unveiled in November and will be imported as a fully built unit from the manufacturing plant in Slovakia which is later assembled here in India, reports CarTrade.

The made for India Audi Q7 brings in a 3.0-Litre V6 diesel engine churning out about 272BHp and 600Nm of torque. Mated to an 8-speed automated transmission system, the SUV is fitted with the Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system which will be a standard offering on all the models.

Apparently, this 2015 Q7 will be 325Kgs lighter because of its new MLB (Modular Longitudinal Matrix) platform. The best part is that, it is now 26 percent more fuel efficient too. The car is all loaded with the enhanced MMI (Multi Media Interface) system, 19-speaker Bose audio, four-zone climate control air conditioning and Matrix LED headlights.

As far as the rivals of the SUV are concerned, this next gen Audi SUV will take on the Mercedes GL Class, BMW X5 and the Volvo XC 90. The expectations on the price tag remain to be between the range of 75- 90 lakh.
