8 Illegal Foods in The World

#7.Papaya

Papayas are grown in many tropical countries. But papaya cultivation is being threatened by Papaya Ringspot-Virus, a disease that  sharply lowers yields. Several countries have partial or full bans on genetically engineered (GE) foods. In the EU, GE foods must be labeled. GE papaya is totally banned. GE papaya is grown in Asian countries, such as Thailand, as well as in Hawaii.

#8.Yellow No. 5

Yellow 5, also known as tartrazine or E102, is widely used in the making of potato chips, cheddar cheese jams, candy, drinks, and even pet food. It is also added to shampoo and other cosmetic products, as well as vitamins and certain medications. Yellow 5 seems to cause hyperactivity in some children that includes loss of concentration and impulsive, hard-to-control activity. It also causes several other health problems including blurred vision, cancer, birth defects, migraines, fatigue and anxiety. Yellow 5 is banned in Norway and Austria, but still widely used throughout North America.
