Pir Panjal Tunnel

With a length of 11.2 Kkm, this railway tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir is at the top of the list for being the longest railway tunnel in India. It is also the highest tunnel, and is located at an elevation of 7000 ft above sea level. This tunnel, for the Kashmir Railway line connecting Bichleri Valley of Banihal with the Qazigund area of Kashmir Valley. This tunnel was constructed as a part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project.
