Alibagh:

Alibagh is the main beach in the Raigad District. It is reasonably clean and has thin crowds during the week. Though Alibagh is great spot for sun-bathing and the beach, the waters are not very safe for anything more than paddling. This place will make you want to spend your time lazing on the beach and not doing much. Besides being famous for its splendid beauty and unpolluted environs, Alibagh is also visited for Kolaba Fort, Akshi beach, Brahma Kunda and Kanakeshwar Devasthan Temple.

Karnala:

Karnala is located on the Mumbai - Goa highway and is a famous picnic spot with brilliant natural beauty. The two major attractions for tourists here are the Karnala Bird Sanctuary and the Karnala Fort. The Karnala fort consists of two forts, one at a higher level than the other. In the centre of the fort situated on the higher level, there is a watchtower called the Pandu's tower. The tower also has a water cistern that provides water throughout the year.
