BANGALORE: As a sign of its growing stature in car manufacturing, India is emerging as an export hub of global auto firms not just for small cars but also for big cars such as mid-size sedans and utility vehicles. Sighting this rise in number, some of the cars developed in India and made exclusively here are making great waves in export markets. If you’re eager to know the cars that are finding many takers abroad, here is a list of ‘Made in India’ cars that are taking over the world stage, as reported by Rediff.

Hyundai i10

The Hyundai i10 has been one of the most successful flagship models from Hyundai's portfolio since its launch in 2007 and offers great styling, comfort, mileage, performance and reliability.

The South Korean car maker ‘Hyundai’ exported around 109,074 units in the FY 14 and FY 13, which made i10 the most exported car from India. Even though exports of the hatchback dropped by 29 percent last year, i10 managed to cling on to its spot with export volumes of 109,074 and outnumbered other cars on the list.

The i10, which is made at Hyundai India’s Chennai facility, was exported to Europe till late 2013/early 2014. With the introduction of the next generation 2014 i10, the hatchback is set to export to newer markets in parts of Europe as well as turkey.
