Mawjymbuin Caves

Location: Shillong, Meghalaya.

More than summer, it’s a great choice to visit Mawjymbuin in monsoon as it’s located in the wettest part of the Earth. The major attraction in these natural caves is a Shivalinga formed out of a giant stalagmite rock. This has increased the number of tourists to Mawjymbuin especially religious flocks. Gupt Godavari Caves

Location: Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh.

Known more for Ram and Laxman’s court in the cave during their exile period, here you come across twin natural caves, one narrow and one wide at the same time. River Godavari forms the underground stream to this cave and the water almost reaches upto your knees when you are in the narrower cave. River Godavari is called Gupt Godavari(Hidden Godavari), here, because it’s believed that it changed its course from Nasik in order to get a darshan of Lord Rama.
