The iconic Maruti 800 is the most sold car in India with 2.95 million examples. It was launched in 1983 and it soon became the country’s sensation. At one point of time it was known as ‘Maruti Car’, within no time it took over Hindustan Motors’ Ambassador and Fiat powered Premier Padmini.
