Mahindra Bolero: Mahindra has been selling the Bolero in pretty much the same body line with minor changes with the interiors since 2000. The bolero has a strong rural presence compared to the urban car market and is preferred as the go to car for urban population. Till date the company has sold over 6.5 lakh units of this popular SUV. Mahindra sold close to 1, 17,665 units in FY-2013, compared to  1,00,686 units during FY-2012, registering a growth of 17 percent and it is the highest annual sales garnered by the Bolero since its date of launch. The Bolero is offered at an impressive price of 5.97-7.75 lakhs with three variants (SLE, SLX and ZLX). It comes with a standard engine option of a 2.5-litre that throws out reasonable power of 63bhp and 19.8kgm of torque. And noticeably Mahindra Bolero is the only SUV to feature in the top selling passenger vehicles list in India.

Tata Safari Storme 'Explorer': Known as one of the oldest cars in India, the Tata Safari is still a hot favorite among SUV lovers. The Safari Storm 'Explorer' Edition, was unveiled by its flagship brand Tata Motors in June last year, and has been officially made available to the consumer with an aggressive price of 10.86 lakh. The new Explorer is basically an updated version equipped with mind blowing features like Nudge Guard , Explorer Edition signature decals , 2-DIN Touch Screen Infotainment System, Reverse Parking Assist , Navigation Device and a few more, which makes the car even more sportier compared to its earlier version. The company claims a mileage of 14 km per litre and comes with a price range of 10.30 - 14.47 lakhs.
