BANGALORE: One of the hottest segments in the Indian auto industry, the Rs 5-8 lakh price range caters to India's ever-growing middle class. With more and more people being able to afford an automobile every year, this is one of the most sought after and happening segment of 2014. If you’re eager to take a note, here is a list of upcoming cars of 2014 between 5 and 8 lakh, as listed by the Economic Times.

Maruti-Suzuki Swift Facelift: The Suzuki Swift has been one of India’s most favorite cars in recent times. After its launch in 2005 with 1.3 Litre petrol engine and then in 2007 with the Fiat sourced 1.3 Litre Multijet diesel engines, the car received overwhelming responses from the Indian buyers that resulted in long waiting periods. The refreshed version in terms of external design remains the same as before but now gets the integration of daytime running lights into the front bumper along with a redesigned grille and headlamp package. Apart from that, the Japanese automaker has also put out a Blue Metallic colour and non-alloy wheel versions to the facelifted versions. However, for the Indian market, it is expected that all these specs will only be offered in the top end variant. The facelifted version might come at a price range of 5.00-7.00 lakh to the Indian consumers.
